Hey boomers…and younger friends,
I’m never quite sure how to initiate these commentaries, but eventually some stray thought takes root and away I go. The primary intent of this post was to speak of revolution, in the sense of a specific kind of turning. My mind leapt to an image of earth spinning in space, which kicked up a childhood memory of one of the most-watched television soap operas of all time: As the World Turns, which aired for 54 years from 1956 to 2010.
I flashed back to the 1950’s, still feeling the sad letdown when Lunch with Casey, our locally-produced noontime kid’s show, rolled its closing credits at 12:59 pm. I hung on until the last frame faded to black. By 1pm the Soaps were underway, and choices for kid entertainment grew slim. Here in Minnesota we were saved when Axel and His Dog came on at 4pm, and the good times recommenced.
I almost stumbled just now pondering a “adjusting our antennas” metaphor, but that only dates me horribly. Now it’s hey, let’s log on and stream more programs than we can binge, when once we had to choose among 3. We had no annoyance of having to enter ID and password information one character at a time through a dinky remote, though we did have to get up from the chair and fiddle with the wires. So, potato, potahto.
Okay, so back to revolution(s). The world turns, as the earth spins on its journey through space. Another would be a revolution within humanity, in consciousness if not also expressed in the streets. That one is clearly underway. The one I’m going for, though, is not so obvious, which is a turning each of us is making within. This internal rotation may be familiar to those who were connected with us during the final Lightsmith years. For others, I offer a brief summary of a large and complex subject.
We have evolved through a framework of consciousness we named duality. The nature of that structure splits conscious awareness, creating perceptions of separation, including numerous variations of We/They, Either/Or, or Good/Bad, etc. Sometimes Left/Right or Up/Down are used as examples of duality, but those are poles, not splits. Evolving through separation was part of the design for this universe. Surrendering our authority to others was not.
Having a perception of others as separate was purposeful in creating a sense of individuation. We all emerged from the same Source and exist within that same whole, but as individuated aspects we have each evolved unique qualities. Perhaps the most significant split is reflected in our perception that Source, or “God”, is something separate from self, rather than acknowledging Self as one of many expressions of that creative consciousness. While that split was of benefit in individual growth and evolution, that separation allowed us to be manipulated by those who presented themselves as gods, superior beings, priests, or just claimed to know better than others.
With an external focus disconnected from essential self, minds granted power to those who claimed it as theirs to wield. Our sacrifice of self to those we perceived as external “authorities” blossomed into a collective reality that continues to be highly manipulated and controlled, whether overtly or covertly. We are in servitude to those who have defined reality, made the rules and enforced compliance.
In our current experience, the core mis-perception of turning outward toward “authority” is playing itself out as part of what is undergoing transformation, or shift. The Covid-19 narrative is a battleground, so to speak, for controllers to make their last-gasp attempt at solidifying their dominance. It’s all or nothing, they know so, and every devious play in their gamebook is being deployed. Even as they continue to deny their destiny, they are certain to fail as their influence on humanity rapidly wanes.
That dynamic of external referencing created a lateral system of energy exchange. Think cording, or co-dependencies. Apply that understanding to how energy is sought and exchanged with everybody, everything and within every system. Witness the continuous attempts to acquire power, position and money, or to control, extract, hold, accumulate and defend…anything. The result is never-ending competition and conflict on every level. Whatever is created…countries, governments, money, educational systems, businesses, medical systems, churches…is suspended within and reflects this manipulated consciousness out of which it was birthed. There is no “fixing” those structures. Instead, a whole new framework had to be created.
We’re coming unglued, in case you hadn’t noticed. The structure of duality itself is dissolving. Energy leaving that old system is being recycled for use in evolving a New Field, or New Dimension. Some call it 5D. The operating system is different, one in which consciousness, paradoxically, is individuated yet whole; where reality is orchestrated by the field itself, expressing through each individuated aspect, synchronized in creative expression, and assuring mutually fulfilling experiences. We’re in a dimensional shift. We’re not going anywhere, but in experience we’ll end up someplace different.
The pace of our evolution is accelerating, preparing us to function within the new structure of consciousness. We can all relate to the many physical and emotional processes that have been part of our journey. We are also experiencing a significant energetic restructuring in the sense of a revolution, or rotation. Yes, I grow ever-nearer to my envisioned point.
Our many years of trauma release, moving out of co-dependencies, and reclaiming fragmented aspects of self have been about more than just healing, or a return to wholeness. We have also been making adjustments for functioning in a different dimensional reality. As the process proceeds, we unplug from the system of lateral interactions, its hard-wired co-dependency and inequitable energy exchanges. The rotation inside us is a restructuring, a shift to a vertical alignment and direct sourcing from Light and Life, fused within a living field of Love.
We become authentic, which is a way of saying we come into integrity and alignment within ourselves. As we rotate from lateral energy-seeking through others to direct vertical sourcing, we disconnect bit by bit from the old world, and eventually find it difficult, then impossible, to re-enter that sense of reality. Noticeable changes begin to happen. Certain television shows or forms of entertainment lose their attraction. Relationships with friends, partners or family may change or end. Participating in some organizations may no longer have appeal. Distractions we use to avoid what is present don’t work. We can no longer “make do”. In short, it becomes difficult to tolerate or engage whatever is not a match for us.
We’re also continuing to clear remnants of patterns or structures we can’t take with us into the new dimension, so forward progression can feel stalled while we’re processing and releasing. This is why many of us at this time are literally feeling as though we’re between worlds. In a functional sense, that is the truth. We are not fully in either. We’re in transition.
Advice at this point? Let go of how you think things should be. Trust the process and put your attention on whatever is needed to complete this revolution within yourself. The New Field and the great Earth Mother are orchestrating the transformation, along with significant assistance from countless beings of heaven and earth.
Which brings me to: The Grief of Exiting What Was
Collectively we are moving beyond what we have known, and a looming sense of trepidation is understandable. It’s the mind that forms attachments, and in the dissolution of old structures it might seem like there is no stability to be found. If duality is your only reference, that will be true for you. We keep trying to understand, categorize and judge our experiences like we once did, putting things away into neat little cubby holes. That exercise now leads only to exhaustion and futility.
We’re exiting the matrix, saying goodbye to a large, evolutionary experience that has often been painful, but is familiar. I am reminded of challenges people face when leaving abusive relationships. There is fear, denial and a belief that “if only” one hangs on a little longer then circumstances will surely improve. There will be no “if only” for us within duality. Like going back to an abusive relationship, hanging on only prolongs what eventually must happen.
Grief is a common response to conscious loss or change. We can also have layers of unconscious grief, repressed or unexpressed from long histories of trauma, painful experiences and loss. As the grand transformation proceeds, unconscious grief is surfacing in abundance, which we are processing both individually and collectively.
Anger also plays a role in the process, and may surface in explosive release before grief is ultimately acknowledged and needed tears are shed. We don’t enter the New Dimension through the mind, and we don’t process grief there, either.
It is our lungs that hold grief, and it’s no coincidence that Covid-19 is a respiratory illness. It’s also clear that this moment of great contraction has an unmistakably relevant theme:
“I can’t breathe”.
It’s the cry of George Floyd calling for his mother as his airway is crushed. It’s panic in the voices of those with sudden congestion in their chests, unable to catch their breath. It’s reflected in mask-wearing self suffocation. And, it’s the cry of the Earth as humanity has callously abused, smothered, and disregarded Life at every turn. Now, she is saying STOP. No more.
We are evolving. We are revolving. And, we are grieving.
One final observation.
I recently had an appointment at a local wellness clinic. Their programs, techniques, and greater understanding of wholeness and health were obvious…as was their youthfulness. I was definitely the elder in the room.
The doctor and his assistant worked as a team. As we spoke, I found common ground in our views of toxicity in the approaches of traditional healthcare systems. When asked about my history, I made light reference to the portion of my life that was engaged in assisting this transformation of consciousness. I later talked with the assistant, who had shown interest in what I was saying. I shared insight on the role of many in the baby boomer generation who were considered the transformers. And right then, I had a core-rattling realization.
A cascade of images rippled through my mind. I saw WWII vets, their battles, parades, and celebrations. I saw those same vets, later gathering in VFW and American Legion halls, comrades in arms who shared stories of experiences others wouldn’t understand. Their stories became part of their identities. Many never really left behind what had so much significance in shaping their lives.
Oh, man, I thought to myself. I had become one of those guys. I didn’t go off to war in the traditional sense, and I didn’t frame my participation in global transformation as embattlement. Yet, there was a long, intense engagement for which I had volunteered. It may not be uncommon that we take our stories as our identities, but it became clear that we also bind ourselves in doing so. I had to uncouple from an identity as a change agent, just as earlier I had to discard my identity as a photofinisher.
From that insight, I leave you with this:
Dear Transformers,
Thank you for your service. You are dismissed. Go, enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Reminder: Be present with what is in your body and experience in every moment. Relax your third eye back, in and down. You can’t know what’s coming, and if your attention is attempting to focus into an unknowable future, then you’re not focused here. I need you here.
With Love, always,
The Universe [and Chris]

It is probably more than coincidence that yesterday when riding my mountain bike through the wilderness and thinking why I wasn’t traveling anymore outwardly for business and to make a living, but, on the inner plane as some kind of sparkplug or ley line worker for The Mother (I never really understood) that something said those days are over. I don’t understand why. I mean was it that somebody else was doing that or it wasn’t needed. But, the bottom line feeling was that it was more than OK and I was free to go – almost those exact words came through. But, that kind of freedom feels scary -right? Like, is nothing important anymore? Or, am I not important? Or, is my time over in this existence? I still feel much attachment to this place and feel there is more to do. But, maybe that attachment is fear-based. I just don’t know for sure though the feeling of calm is strong and soothing. So, I’ll jump in my raft and float down the current and see what shows up and look for a good place to stop downriver. Thanks!

That’s a particularly poignant observation!
Wow! Chris, there is so much about this conversation that I love. Starting with “we’re coming unglued” and embracing that as a good and necessary thing. I have been oriented to George Floyd’s “I can’t breathe” since I watched him die. It has become a new lens for me as I revolve and work with my conscious and unconscious trauma through somatic experiencing. Thank you so much for stating so clearly that we don’t process grief through our mind.
I love this! Thank you so much for sharing your insights
Michaela
goodness I was with you all the way Chris. And then the end, “thank you for your service…” Be here now is what I hear. Oh boy. Letting gooooooo…..
thank you
Deborah
Yup, all of it.
Wow. I’m so appreciative to read words that align to my inner truth. I have worked in the wellness industry for over a decade and I knew when I left my treatment room on March 16th that things would never be “the way they were” ever again. I relate to the experience of grieving my former life; while also being grateful for this transformation and for the inner faith and trust that gives me solace. While I am working a few hours when I am not put on furlough, I now go to a job that is no longer my identity and it is SO freeing. I am finding the courage to be my true Self and I am so very grateful for your work and your words.
This gives me comfort and courage. I lose sight of the big picture sometimes. Thank you.
